Disc Golf Flight Lab App Reviews

Absolutely Amazing!

I love to disc golf! And this game really does a good job with making the discs fly how a real disc should! Absolutely an amazing game!!! Good job guys

Nice, missing stuff

High potential, needs work on the sensitivity its hard to throw the disc the way I would actually throw instead of sliding your finger Id put it on a meter you can adjust so it matches the way I throw. Another things is its missing the two biggest brands in disc golf and its hard to select discs you need to have it set as drop down menus based on speed so its less discs on the screen and makes it a little more organized. Needs customizable features, water, hills, trees, etc make it on a scale so you can select how much of what object you want and how big there are and how far they are positioned from each other... Again this app was just released but it had a ton of potential.

Potential...

Looks like it will be fun...buttons overlap on screen on IPad, could use more instructions.

Pretty fun app but controls are frustrating

Really fun to play. However, it gets very annoying when pinching/pulling to see the course and the disc flies. Also, you push as hard as you can and it will register 6% but barely touch the screen and it goes 99%. Putts go through the center post on clear shots. But ones that can go through the actual basket make it in. Some glitches but fun none the less.

They are trying

Five stars ;) yes everything is a work in progress but they are trying at least ;)

Worst controls EVER

Game could be good but the controls are HORRIBLE. You spend more time trying to adjust the view than you do playing. None of the controls work correctly. Really feel like I waste my time with this junk.

Best

This is the best disc golf app ever!!!im so glad it actually has real life discs you can but but I wish it had all brands like innova but still great and for any disc golf lover its a fun game and u can see how your own disc is in flight

Incredible! $5 Game!

Best disc golf game ever. Make the physics a little better, like the disc not going through the ground, and this is a worthy $5 game!

Its ok - worth checking out

Im not sure I totally understand the purpose of this app. Its not really a game, but it kinda is. Its obviously not a simulation, yet it tries to be - using real life discs from major manufacturers and claiming the flight paths are true and realistic. How the app works is it randomly generates a hole, and allows you to pick a disc. And off you go. You can choose control or power shots, you can control the release angle, and you can zoom in and aim left, right, up, and down relative to your target (the basket). Then you swipe from disc to the top of the screen to send the disc flying. You are shown a percentage of your "power" of the swipe, and personally, I cant get that power higher than 89%. And thats kind of frustrating. Ive tried really fast swipes, slow swipes, as well as steady and kind of quick - which is what I get the best results with. But again, Ive not hit 90%, let alone 100%. At any rate, the swipe mechanic and floating disc in the air makes this like a supercharged, way better iDisc Golf - a game available in the App Store. However, that brings me to the most frustrating thing about this app (notice I dont say "game") - the app tells you your strokes for the hole it generated, and thats it! Youre done and off to the next randomly generated hole and only your memory recalls the score on that last hole. There are no "rounds", no 18 holes/ baskets, no progressive score keeping - nothing. Just go to the next hole and have at it again. If the developer allowed for score keeping over the course of 18 randomly generated holes, Id give this 4 stars. But sadly, it does not. And finally, the terrain is all very similar - rocky, open trees, and grass. Id love to see wooded holes, like "in the woods." That along with full round score keeping would bring 5 stars. As it stands, its kind of a thing that you play, and it kind of gives you an idea how various discs fly. And thats about it. Its ok, but I still pine for a full blown "Tiger Woods" of disc golf games, and I think iOS is the perfect platform for it.

Fun game for disc golf fans

Generally enjoying this game / simulator. I love the randomly generated hole. Sometimes the swipe mechanic doesnt work exactly how I wanted it to. Defiantly a must for disc golf fans. I think it would still be fun even if you dont play disc.rffrrfr

Base line sim lab-not a game.

This app is a decent way to waste time. However, there are many things that could be done to make this better. You could add 9, 18, and 27 hole ‘courses’ that are replay-able. It could be linked to others randomly (or to a friends list) to be able to play against others. There are times when you start out on weird parts and it messes the ‘view’ up and it is hard to control. They could include discs from Discraft and Innova (the 2 leading manufactures instead of UB Discs) There are times when I have the disc in the basket and it says I missed… The controls are weak and you have minimal ability to actually know for sure your power and angles of release. There are many other ways to update this into a great game…and not just a pointless waste of time when you are sitting on the commode. There needs to be a method to the madness.

Super fun game, but has a huge bug

On my second throw it should land in the basket and its going straight through the chains and the middle pole and onto the ground behind the basket and I have to throw again.

Cool game but.......

Very cool concept, just would like to see some way of gauging the strength of my throw. I can throw the exact same way 5 times and get 5 different strength levels mostly a lot lower than Id like, very frustrating!! Would also like to see some 9 or 18 hole courses and stat tracking too.

Potential

This game could be a huge seller if it contained a lot more disc, a disc search button, a mini course, something to feel more similar to reaching in my bag for a disc, option to remove the flight path line, some way to compare the results of how much hyzer was used and what had the best result. Great start tho!

Not a game

You just throw holes. No info. No courses. No scores. I like that you can use real world discs by name, but this isnt a game at all.

Sweet game

This game is super fun, however all of my putts are either flying straight through the chains or ore falling out of the bottom of the basket, only way it will go in is if I use the tap in button. Tons of potential though!

Finally here

Ive been waiting for this game to come out for a while and it is awesome... The physics could be better like making a disc skip or roll or something but the flight is great. Also it needs some sort of addicting feature like courses with tournaments.

Best disc-flight engine

By far the best disc flight simulator app. Backhand and sidearm throws, S-curves, even some disc skip at the end. They just need to add roller and tomahawk throws, make actual courses (add more tree obstacles, some water) with fly-over, allow multiple players and keep score and this would be a fantastic app worth $5 to me. Id pay more for extra courses too!

Too many advertisement

There are LONG advertisements between EVERY hole. This was once a great app now its just an infomercial for iOS games. Dont waste your time downloading it.

No ads!!!

Why did you have have to put ads on this awesome app, makes me want to play it less. Not cool.
